Located within a newly established development, our client’s brief called for a low-maintenance, drought-tolerant garden that provides year-round interest and privacy from the street and neighbors. Faced with a blank, flat canvas, we selected a complementary palette of indigenous trees and shrubs, underplanted with a variety of native grasses, perennials, and groundcovers. By opting for sparse initial planting, we encouraged natural soil regeneration and established a sturdier, more resilient ecosystem.
