This rural school design built from compressed earth blocks, bamboo and corrugated roof sheeting, consisting of 8 identical interlocking splayed modules. It offers 504sqm of usable space, arranged in a half moon around a central courtyard that doubles as community gathering and performance space surrounded by a protected covered walkway, 4 classrooms, administrative office, a multipurpose hall and separate ablution block for 160 students. It also includes a covered play area, chicken coop and a food forest to make this school self-sufficient and provide long term sustainability.
